Max birthday fun

To celebrate Max's 3rd birthday we went for a train ride and then took a walk around the zoo.  Max LOVES the train, as most little boys seem to.

 Luke loves the train too.  

 The boys love the animals at the zoo, but I think they have the most fun running from statue to statue around the zoo and climbing on.  There must be at least 10 of them, but here are a few favorites.

After we arrived back home and had dinner, Max enjoyed his chocolate birthday cake.  

Happy Birthday Max!

Max is three years old today!  I cannot believe it, the time really does fly by.  

He really seems two still, but who am I to argue with the calendar.

We had planned to go to the zoo today as well, but we will see how the weather cooperates.  

Legos

Kyle and Luke love legos.  I love that they often play nicely together building legos.  We are a lego family.

Which is why we enjoyed building lego houses with Andrew when he came to dinner.

We also recently spent a fun day at the park with our friend Evelyn and her baby sister Clara.  

 

Cousins!

Kyle was sick last week, Max has been suffering from a stomach virus this week, and today Luke came down with the same thing.  So much laundry.  So much disgustingness.  I need a vacation.  And a maid.  Perhaps just a laundry fairy.  

Anyways, before all our calamities we had dinner with Jodie's family.  We all enjoyed the lasagna, but the younger boys liked it so much they all needed baths to remove the evidence. 

I tried to get a cute bathtub picture, but there were too many objects in motion.  

  The boys all have so much fun following each other around the house.    

 Alex had to be upside down!  

Max wanted to go home with Aunt Jodie.  He sat and hugged her for a long time.  Not at all sleepy.
