Day 3
When we got up very early to hike and it was about 54 degrees F. We got into the car and started driving. We could barely see out the windows it was so dark and early. At first the road was cement, then it started to get all bumpy and rocky. When we finally got to the start of the hike, it was brighter and I could see the mountains. The name of the trail is Grapevine Hills and it led to balanced rock.
The trail started sandy, but it started getting rocky and steep so we had to climb to balanced rock.
Dad took at least a million pictures and I can’t blame him, the sight was stunning.
Breathtaking.
Mind washing.
Then we came back and had breakfast.
Here are some of the things we ate: bacon, eggs, cinnamon roll, and cereal.
After that we went back to our room and had some rest time. Mom packed a lunch and we went to Boquillas Canyon.
Family picture!
The Rio Grande
When we got to Boquillas Canyon we stopped and had a picnic.

Happy Kyle
Silly Luke
Then we went back and when we got home I went to the store with Mom. Then we went to dinner (it was…. Huge!). Then we went home and got in bed.
